Membership & Volunteers

Membership in the Ormond Beach Historical Society helps fund programs and events in order to realize our mission and offers an opportunity for members to be involved in the community and interact with new and long-time acquaintances. Virtually all of our tasks are completed by dedicated volunteers who have a desire to preserve local history and share it with residents, children and visitors. More than 1/3 of our budget is derived from membership dues and donations, so your contribution is valuable to our continuing success.

Whether you want to take an active role in the organization’s leadership, volunteer on an occasional basis or just attend functions and receive the newsletter there is a place for you as a member.

There are seven classes of Membership: Individual, Family, Student (under 21), Heritage, Life, Non-Profit Organization, and Business. Each Class is described below.

Memberships, other than Life, are on a calendar year basis. New members joining after October 1st will enjoy membership for the balance of the current and the next calendar year. Membership dues, donations and contributions are tax deductible as permitted under current law.

All Members Receive the Following Benefits:

• Discount on OBHS merchandise
• Discount on rental of Anderson-Price Memorial Building
• Quarterly newsletter
• Invitation to the annual dinner and special events plus reduced pricing at events

Heritage classification includes 2 loop tour or walking tour tickets.

Life members receive 2 loop tour or walking tour tickets, one ticket to each annual dinner and use of the Anderson-Price Memorial Building for one event.

Non-profit organizations receive a loop tour or walking tour ticket.
